Suprising Santorum Upset

Yesterday, Rick Santorum won the Colorado, Nevada, and Missouri caucuses in the race for Republican candidacy, according to The New York Times. So far, Mitt Romney has been a favored candidate, but now his “image of an unstoppable front-runner” has been damaged.

Santorum has lost caucuses in the last four states, but now voters seem to be rallying to his form of conservatism. He argued that Romney supports many of the same positions that President Barack Obama does, saying, “I don’t stand here to be the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney, I stand here to be the conservative alternative to BarackĀ Obama.”
